IndiBlogger-KOSÉ Meet : Introduction to SPAWAKE

Hello everyone!

I am going to share with you my amazing experience at the IndiBlogger-Kose meet. It was held on the 10th of April 2015 to introduce bloggers and media to the brand’s foray into the Indian Skincare industry.

Kose is one of the cosmetic giants of the Japan’s beauty scene with remarkable history and partnerships. It has entered into the promising Indian market with its own Skincare line titled “SPAWAKE”.

We were greeted with refreshments and ushered into the spacious hall where the event took place. IndiBlogger meets are always exciting as you get to meet phenomenal fellow bloggers with their own engaging stories.

After some fun networking activities, we were briefed on the brand by the Director and other important heads of the company. I was impressed by the brand’s splendid collaborations with major brands like L’Oreal, Tarte, LORAC, Maybelline etc.

They have created this skincare line to mimic the effects of a spa treatment at the comfort of your own home. The products are claimed to be natural and light while being easy on the pocket and widely accessible.

Aditi Rao Hydari is the brand ambassador of Spawake and will be seen endorsing the line. She also added that she was thrilled to be a part of a Japanese skincare brand as they’re high on quality and deliver on their claims while dishing out some noteworthy secrets to her flawless, glowing complexion.

This was followed by a breathtaking dance performance after which we headed to enjoy an elaborate dinner. We were also given a PR package to test out the products for ourselves.

The packaging is a sturdy white wood reusable box and it contains 4 creams –

– Moisturising Fairness Cream for Day

– Moisturising Fairness Cream for Night

– Moisturising Cold Cream

– Whitening Fairness Gel Cream

Quick DIYs for Beautiful Skin!

1. Exfoliate!

Instead of using a Loofah Mitt everyday in the shower, use bath gloves like these :

These gloves will help to deeply exfoliate your skin and when combined with a moisturizing body wash, they will leave your skin dream soft!

Using a bath brush will also help the skin age better as it will promote blood circulation, dead skin removal and skin renewal.

2. Dry Skin?

Try this mask for instant moisture and to soften the skin :

Mix one Whole Egg, 2 tablespoons Full Fat Milk and 1 tablespoon Honey together. Apply on freshly cleansed skin and leave for 15-20 mins. Wash away with lukewarm water and the last few splashes with cold water.

The egg white helps to tighten the skin and shrink pores whereas the egg yolk is an instant shot of moisture and softens the skin. An egg is full of proteins and vitamins A,D and E.

3. Oily Skin?

Only apply egg whites without the yolk. Leave for 10-15 mins till dry and wash away with lukewarm water and then with cold water. It will tighten the skin, shrink pores and inhibit excess sebum production.

4. Lip Scrub :

Mix together Honey & Sugar to form an instant all natural Lip Scrub! Rub into your lips slowly in circular motions and wash off. Your lips will be instantly moisturized from the honey and the exfoliating action from the sugar will leave them soft and plump. Say goodbye to chapped lips!

5. Body Scrub From The Kitchen :

Its important to exfoliate the skin before any method of hair removal. Scrubbing removes dead skin and helps grip the hair better. After exfoliation, you will get better results from waxing and you will also get a much closer shave.

No need to spend on expensive scrubs! Mix together one cup of Chick Pea Flour / Gram Flour ( Besan ), 1/4 cup of Milk, 1 tablespoon Honey and a pinch of Turmeric. Scrub your whole body with this ( you can also use bath gloves for better exfoliation ) and your skin will feel so soft you will not be able to stop touching yourself! 🙂

6. Relieve Puffy Eyes :

Thinly slice cucumbers and put them on closed eyes. Lie down for 10-15 mins. Cooled white potatoes do the same trick too! You can also keep spoons in the refrigerator and put them on your eyes for an instant cooling effect to reduce puffiness.

7. Rice Flour :

This mask will benefit dry skin, dull skin, oily skin, acne prone skin, prevent wrinkles and sun damage!

Just mix 2 teaspoons of Rice Flour and 3 teaspoons of Honey. You can also add a teaspoon of Green Tea for extra anti oxidants. Apply it on cleansed skin and leave on for 20 mins. Massage for 30 seconds and rinse off! Your skin will feel better and look brighter.

You can also mix the leftover with sugar to make an instant facial scrub!

8. Fade Acne Scars :

Mix 4 teaspoons Lemon Juice, 3 teaspoons of Plain Yogurt, 4 tablespoons Honey and 1 Egg White. Apply on clean face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Lemon, Honey and Yogurt are all natural skin lightening agents.

9. Lastly, Drink Up!

We have been told and told to drink more water and for good reason!

a) Drinking more water can help relieve dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, wrinkles and spots.

b) Water significantly increases our ability to think and makes us energetic.

c) Water removes toxins from our body. Less water makes the heart work harder to pump fresh oxygenated blood to our organs causing severe health issues.

d) Drinking a glass of water before meals helps reduce weight since you will eat less. It keeps you fresh and healthy!

e) Dehydration is one of the most common cause of headaches so be sure to keep yourself hydrated at all times!

f) Regular intake of water improves metabolism and improves the digestive system. It also helps relieve constipation.

g) The kidneys work really well in cleansing and ridding your body of toxins as long as your intake of water is adequate.
