Hello everyone!

As promised in my last post, Huge Sarojini Nagar Clothes Haul, I will be showing you the shoes that I got recently! This huge haul is a result of various shopping trips and online orders spread over a few months! I am a Shopaholic, I know that! 😛 I usually wait till I accumulate a haul worthy amount of stuff and then post a collective haul! You may have already seen some of these pairs in my outfit posts.

Purple Pumps – Rs. 799/- from

They are called “Hot Pink” patent pumps on the site and let me tell you, they are nowhere near hot pink! They’re definitely purple.

Neon Orange Patent Pumps – Rs. 799/- from

These are neon orange on the site and they are truly neon orange! However, I am extremely disappointed with their service. They clearly mention their return policy on the website. I ordered a size 36 and they’re too tight. I wanted to return them for a size 37 but despite several emails and annoying form filling, they haven’t replied to my requests! Now I have to find a way to stretch them out! 😦

Nude Peep Toes with Studs and Spikes – Rs. 1100 from TGIP, Noida. I don’t remember the name of the exact shop!

Grey Scalloped Pumps – Rs. 899/-

Golden Sparkle Wedges – Rs. 1299/- from

Animal Print Pumps – Rs. 899/- from

Royal Blue Booties – Originally Rs. 1300/- but on sale for Rs. 650/- from Stilettos ( Sarojini Nagar )

White and Gold Sandals – Rs. 495/- from Stilettos ( Sarojini Nagar )

Black Studded Booties – Originally Rs. 2400/- but on sale for Rs. 1200/- from Dolphin Shoes ( Sarojini Nagar )

Silver Pumps with Flowers – Rs. 600/- from ( Sarojini Nagar )

Gladiator Wedges – Rs. 2200/- from Forever21

Outfit Of The Day – Peplum Blazer and Orange Maxi Skirt!

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Saturday, 30th November 2013

A peplum blazer is such a versatile piece! You can wear it with dresses, pencil skirts, maxi skirts, jeans, pants etc. It can work with casual as well as formal outfits. Peplum is one of my favorite trends!

Maxi skirts are beautiful! They’re feminine and flirty in their own way. I paired this bronzy peplum blazer with a neon orange maxi skirt because I loved the contrast. The orange skirt is what makes the look pop! I also adore the slits on the sides.

I wore a black tank under the blazer. Gold complements orange really well so I paired the outfit with gold accent accessories.

Lastly, I wanted a wild element so I wore these amazing animal print peep toes! 😀

My Experience With Acrylic/Fake Nails And Gel Manicure!

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Monday, 23rd September 2013

Hello everyone! 🙂

So recently I went to a nail salon to get my nails done. I was unsure if I wanted to get acrylics. I had thought about getting a gel manicure only but my nails are very brittle and the thought of getting long nails in a matter of minutes was very alluring! 😛

I decided on a French Manicure, a true classic.

The place is called “CLAWS” and it is located in the GK 2 Market, New Delhi.

We started by pushing my cuticles back and filing my nails. Then we moved onto acrylic french manicure nails. They are white in color to get that beautiful french tip.

The acrylic nails were glued on mine just a few millimeters before where my real nails start growing out.

I know it looks really scary now but it gets better! 😛

My nails were now trimmed to a more appropriate length.

I still felt they needed to be a bit shorter so they were trimmed again, just a few millimeters. Then they were filed properly to avoid any sharp edges.

They were then filled with a mixture of some liquid and powder. I forgot to ask what it was! But, that is what makes the fake nails look like your real nails and binds them together.

They were filed again and buffed to perfection from top to bottom.

Then we moved onto a gel top coat that gives a beautiful shine that stays for a long time.

I wanted to get some nail art done but I didn’t want to spoil the sophisticated look of the french manicure so we decided to do an accent nail.

I was told to put my hands under an LED light to fix the gel nail polish.

The process took about 2 hours and I was exhausted after that so I had donuts! 😛

All in all, it was a good experience. However, they are really hard to maintain. You’ll need to get regular fillers so it still looks real. The maintenance depends on how fast your nails grow. I, for myself will not get acrylics again. Sometimes the white part of the nails turns yellow after eating food and I need to wash them with a brush to make them white again. I would much rather get a gel manicure from the next time onwards. It stays longer and makes the nails stronger.

About 2-3 coats of gel nail polish are applied. After every coat, you need to put your nails under the light to fix the polish. The last coat is a top coat that gives shine.

The nails look really thick and healthy after a gel manicure and it does not chip at all for about 2-3 weeks.

You’ll need to go back to the salon to remove your gel manicure.

I hope this was helpful to all of you who are considering getting acrylics or a gel manicure.
