What’s In My March 2014 Fab Bag?

By Aishwarya Kaushal, 27th March 2014, Thursday

Hello everyone!

My bag arrived yesterday but I didn’t get time to blog about it because I was attending the Wills India Fashion Week.

The bag this time is very floral and it is celebrating women.

Image

The bag itself is very cute and useful!

This month’s theme was Women’s Special.

Image

Here is what I got in my bag :

1. Natio Rosemary Hands and Nails Cuticle Cream

Image

This hand cream has a mild smell and upon first application it felt lightweight and non greasy. I am happy to receive this product as I like to carry small hand creams in my bag.

2. Flormar Loose Powder – 03

Image

This is my favorite product in the bag this month. I am very impressed by the fact that they sent me the correct shade for my skin tone.

3. Portico Spa Verbana Hydrating Body Wash

Image

This was a random product. A travel size shower gel is handy to have but I feel like they have sent a shower gel one too many times! It has a refreshing citrusy scent though.

4. Bonus : Pearl Drop Earrings

Image

What do I say about pearl drop earrings in my makeup/beauty bag? I wish they had sent another beauty product instead.

Here is what I got overall :

This month’s bag was definitely better than last month’s bag! I am very happy with the Flormar loose powder and the hand cream. I just wish they included more makeup products and less shower gels! That is all I have to say about this month’s bag!

ModCloth’s Uniquely You Campaign!

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Tuesday, 11th March 2014

Hello everyone!

I have very exciting news! ModCloth, the apparel giant, contacted me to be a part of their Uniquely You Campaign on Polyvore. I was asked to style their Shoreline Memories Dress along with up to 7 other pieces of my choice!

Image

Creating this outfit was so much fun and I wanted to incorporate my personal style into the outfit. I love that this dress has hints of cheerful yellow that make the dress stand out. I am definitely a heels girl and I love playing with color in my outfits! This will be my entry for the contest.

For those of you who prefer flats and neutral colors in your everyday attire, I created another fun and girly look :

Image

ModCloth has an amazing mix of sophisticated and girly pieces. You can find innumerable cute dresses on ModCloth’s website.

A huge thanks to ModCloth for contacting me to participate in this contest and also to Polyvore for the amazing collage options!

I hope you enjoyed reading!

Big Sephora Haul! :-D

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Tuesday, 11th March 2014

Hello everyone!

Image

In my previous post, I showed you all what I got from MAC and Inglot. This post is going to be all about my Sephora Haul!

1. NYX Lip Liner Pencil in “Natural” – Rs 310/- & Nyx Retractable Lip Pencil in “Nude Pink”- Rs. 400/-

Image

I wanted some neutral lip liners. The retractable one is a gorgeous color for everyday and will go with most of my nudes! I prefer my nude lip colors to be slightly pinky toned since concealer nudes wash me out!

2. NYX Matte Finish & Dewy Finish Setting Sprays – Rs. 710/- each

Image

Both of these do an absolutely brilliant job of holding your makeup in place. I especially love the dewy one, it makes the skin look super glowy and healthy. The matte one will be good for extremely hot months like May and June.

3. Sephora Professional Mineral Powder Brush – Rs. 1400/-

Image

Recently, this has been my go to brush for foundation. It is soft and blends foundation like a dream. Any foundation refuses to look cakey when I use this brush. My clients love it too! I have washed it about 4 times and there was absolutely no shedding!

4. Sephora Professional Eye Liner Brush – Rs. 840/-

Image

Angled brushes make eyeliner application much easier. This has a very fine tip which enables you to create thin liner looks as well as thick. Sephora Professional brushes have highly impressed me!

5. Clinique Even Better Concealer in “Orange Brightener”  – Rs. 1600/-

Image

I wanted a brightener that would take care of under eye darkness. This does a great job of hiding any blueness or purple shadows under the eyes caused by veins and doubles the performance of your regular under eye concealer!

6. Sephora 8HR Wear Mattifying Compact Foundation in “Deep” – Rs. 1190/-

Image

I wanted a sculpting powder that I could contour with. This was the best I could find that wasn’t overly orange. This has a slight grey undertone that makes it perfect for sculpting. This is their powder foundation in the darkest shade.

7. Benefit Go Tropi-Coral Lip and Cheek Kit – Rs. 2090/-

Image

Image

I wanted to try out some cult favorite benefit products and these palettes seem like a much better option. Especially since blushes and highlighters take forever to finish. I LOVE the Cha Cha Tint and High Beam. I am not a big fan of lip glosses so the Coralista Lip Gloss was a blah product for me.

8. Benefit How To Look The Best At Everything Kit in “Light”- Rs. 2320/-

Image

Image

This is the perfect base makeup set. The primer is amazing, the foundation looks gorgeous, the concealers cover everything and the powder is great too! This is a win win palette if you want to try out some benefit base makeup products.

This is it for my Sephora Haul. I hope you enjoyed reading!

MAC & Inglot Haul!

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Tuesday, 11th March 2014

Hello everyone!

I needed a few things from Sephora, MAC and Inglot…..

Image

As you all may know by now, “few” is never a “few” when a girl goes out to shop!

I ended up purchasing a whole bunch of things! Don’t be fooled by the small Sephora bag, there is actually a lot in there so that deserves a whole another post! 😛

In this post, I’ll be showing you what I got from MAC and Inglot!

1. MAC 219 Pencil Brush – Rs. 1700/-

Image

I wanted the MAC Pencil Brush for creating smudgy and smokey looks. This brush is a must have! It makes smudging and creating smokey eyes a cake walk.

2. MAC Strobe Cream

Image

Recently, I have been into making my skin look glowy and fresh. Since, I have oily skin, it is not too hard! But, I thought some Strobe Cream will help make my cheeks look dewy and soft! And it does! 🙂

I only got these two things from MAC. Next, I went to Inglot.

3. Inglot 2 Pan Palette – Rs. 550/-

Brow Wax – Rs. 350

Eye Shadow Square – Rs. 400/-

Image

Image

I LOVE their freedom system! I created a brow wax and shadow palette. You can create Blush, Shadow, Lipstick palettes etc. too!

4. Inglot Eyebrow Pencil in the Shade “503” – Rs. 550/-

Image

I love that this pencil has a brush on the cap. This is a lifesaver in a rush!

5. Duo Eyelash Adhesive – Rs. 1200/-

Image

This is so overpriced in India but I was in desperate need of an eyelash glue! And it lasts for ages!

6. Inglot Double Sparkle Eye Shadow in the shade “458”

Image

This was a gift with purchase.

This is it for my small MAC and Inglot Haul! I hope you enjoyed reading!

Outfit Of The Day – White Jacket & Animal Print Pants!

By Aishwarya Kaushal, Saturday, 9th March 2014

Image

Image

I want to get into wearing printed pants more often! So I started with an easy to style pair of animal printed black and white pants!

Image

I paired these pants with a white blazer. It adds elegance and class to the otherwise wild pants!Image

I added a pair of leather booties to add a tough girl vibe.

Image

The black bag brings the outfit together and goes very well with the booties!

Image

Lastly, I finished the look by adding a gold fringe necklace that one of my lovely readers asked me to style!

Bag – Forever 21

Pants – Big C

Jacket, Necklace – Sarojini Nagar

Booties – StreetStyleStore
